Sacher
Lasertechnik developed and offers a new family of Laser Mounts for DFB and DBR
lasers. Suitable laser diode packages are 5.6mm TO can, 9mm TO can, TO3 can and
14 PIN butterfly. The complete package includes an intelligent low noise
microprocessor operated laser controller allows a safe and easy operation of all
wavelength scanning functions of DFB and DBR diodes. Remote control via GPIB,
USB, or RS232 our Cheetah laser system enabled an easy system
integration for OEM customers. Available models are:
Cheetah Laboratory
Grade Laser System
The TEC 030
laser mount allows easy stabilized operation of most commercially available
laser diodes. It is designed for an easy exchange of laser diodes as it is
requested for laboratory operations. The low noice laser controller results in
an operation with power fluctuations below 0.1%.
Cheetah OEM Laser System
The TEC 050
OEM laser system was specially developed for industrial customer who
need a free beam access. Due to the ecellent noise and stability features
of the laser controller, it is best suited for operating DFB and DBR laser
diodes. The intelligent scanning functions make the TEC 050 OEM laser a
perfect solution for automated optical test and
measurement applications. OEM and industrial system integrations
are supported.
Cheetah Butterfly
Laser System
The TEC 070
OEM laser system was specially developed for industrial customer who
need a fiber coupled laser beam delivery. Due to the ecellent noise and
stability features of the laser controller, it is best suited for operating
DFB and DBR laser diodes. The intelligent scanning functions make the TEC 070
OEM laser a perfect solution for automated optical test and
measurement applications. OEM and industrial system integrations
are supported.
Customized DFB and DBR Laser Wavelength Selection: Available DFB
laser wavelength range from 750nm to 1630nm. Due to a special manufacturing
method, customized wavelength can be provided with a selection of below 2nm even
for single units. Please check our most commonly requested wavelength.

OEM Industrial Grade Laser
Controller
The intelligent, low noise
PilotPC laser controller changes the laser system from just a laser system to an
automated measuring tool. All functions can be operated via
RS232
May 20, 2005:
Sacher's Littman/Metcalf laser design with extended wavelength and output powers
up to 800mW
Sacher Lasertechnik Group has modified their
external cavity Littman/Metcalf laser design, thus setting new standards in the
technology of tunable external cavity diode lasers. The turn-key,
Littman/Metcalf Tiger – based on patented anti-reflex coating and cavity design
– has been optimised for output powers up to 800mW, convincing through narrow
linewidth of 500 kHz, mode-hop free tuning up to 30 GHz as well as side-mode
suppression up to 55 dB.
Automated
wavelength scans are performed via GPIB, USB and RS232.
Commercially
available diode lasers with external cavity in Littman/Metcalf design show
severe disadvantages since light is usually coupled out via the zero order of
the diffraction grating. The developers at Sacher Lasertechnik Group redesigned
the Littman/Metcalf cavity resulting in major improvements compared with
conventionally available Littman/Metcalf systems, e.g. the laser beam is coupled
out of the laser system via the back facet of the diode laser achieving higher
quality of the external cavity.
In summary, the
new Sacher design will set new standards in the design of tunable external
cavity diode lasers. The Littman/Metcalf Tiger System is available in
the wavelengths 765nm, 780nm...795nm, 960nm...1060nm.
Applications include optical cooling and trapping as well as
replacing of expencive TiSa Laser Systems.

Littman/Metcalf laser design with extended wavelength and output powers
Sacher Lasertechnik Group has modified their
external cavity Littman/Metcalf laser design, thus setting new standards in the
technology of tunable external cavity diode lasers. The turn-key, modular LION –
based on patented anti-reflex coating and cavity design – has been optimised for
output powers up to 100mW, convincing through narrow linewidth of 500 kHz,
mode-hop free tuning up to 100 GHz as well as side-mode suppression up to 55 dB.

Sacher Lasertechnik Group has modified their
award-winning Littrow design, thus setting new standards in the technology of
tunable external cavity diode lasers. The turn-key, modular LYNX – based on
patented anti-reflex coating – has been optimised for output powers up to 200mW,
convincing through narrow linewidth of 1 MHz, mode-hop free tuning up to 30 GHz
as well as side-mode suppression up to 55 dB.
