Description:
The TEC 420 Ampfied Littman / Metcalf
Laser System is consists of a TEC-500 Littman / Metcalf master laser
system which is amplified by a TEC 400 tapered amplifier stage up to 500 ..
1000mW. It takes advantage of the beam-walk free wavelength tuning of the
Littman / Metcalf design which is required for a stable amplification stage. The
complete system is customer friendly and easy to handle. Please check our

Layout: We have designed
our TEC 420 Tapered Amplifier staight forward. It consists of a
Littman / Metcalf master laser. The emitted light is decoupled via a 60dB
isolator (not shown in the schematic drawing) before entering the tapered
amplifier. The tapered amplifier diode is both side antireflection
coated. A two stage collimating optics gurantees an almost diffraction
limited beam quality characterized by a Mē <
1.7 .
Benefit of AR-Coated diode lasers,
System Performance: The quality of our anti-reflection coatings
guarantees the performance of the Littman / Metcalf master laser as well as the
quality of the tapered amplifier diode.
High Output Power: Our
Tapered Amplifier system is especially designed for achieving the highest
possible output power. We achieve power values of more than 500mW at 760nm,
780nm, 785nm, 850nm, 980nm, 1060nm. Output power values up to 3000mW are
available for selected wavelength.
Wavelength Stability: Our
Tapered Amplifier system includes an excellent thermal management of the heat
dissipation of the 3W laser chips. This results in a superior wavelength
stability of the free running laser system.
Application Example - Absorption
Spectroscopy: Absorption Spectroscopy requires a low linewidth and
mode-hop free tuning behavior. Both features are fulfilled by our TEC
420 Tapered Amplifier system in an excellent way.
