Description:

The TEC-420 Amplified Littman Laser System consists of a TEC-500 Littman/Metcalf master laser amplified by a TEC-400 tapered amplifier stage up to 500 .. 2500mW. It takes advantage of the beam-walk free wavelength tuning of the Littman/Metcalf design which is required for a stable amplification stage.

TEC-420 Amplified Littman/Metcalf Series

The TEC-420 Amplified Littman System is an easy to use diode laser system with a Littman/Metcalf master laser and a Tapered amplifier stage. The emitted light is decoupled via a 60dB isolator (not shown in the schematic drawing) before entering the tapered amplifier. The tapered amplifier diode is both side antireflection coated. A two stage collimating optics gurantees an almost diffraction limited beam quality characterized by a M² < 1.7 .

Benefit of AR-Coated diode lasers, System Performance:
The quality of our anti-reflection coatings guarantees the performance of the Littman / Metcalf master laser as well as the quality of the tapered amplifier diode.

Single-mode fiber coupling option

Due to the excellent mechanical stability of our Littrow laser system, we are able to perform high efficiency fiber coupling with coupling efficiencies between 40% and 70% into single mode polarization maintaining optical fibers.

Motorized Littman Master Amplifier System

Sacher Lasertechnik has realized a motorized Master Littman laser which provides automated scans via remote control software.
