Diodes
Sacher Lasertechnik offers a large variety of
different types for laser diode for most applications of laser diodes.
  
Available wavelength range from 375nm up to 2330nm.
All laser diodes are available with laser controller and laser mount on
request.
Fabry Perot Laser
Diodes Fabry Perot laser diodes is the most common type of
laser diode. Sacher Lasertechnik currently offers Fabry Perot lasers ranging
from 375nm up to 1700nm. The power ranges between 1mW up to more than
200mW.
Broad Area Laser
Diodes Broad Area Diode Lasers are high power diode lasers with
output power values in the order of 1W .. 10W. In comparison to conventional
Fabry Perot Diode Lasers, the emitter width is enlarged from typically 3µm
.. 7µm up to 50µm .. 200µm. Broad area diode lasers are spacially and
longitudinally multimode mode. Available wavelength range
from 630nm up to 1080nm.
DFB and DBR Laser
Diodes Distributed Feedback (DFB) and Distributed Bragg Reflector
(DBR) Diode Lasers are fixed wavelength single mode laser diodes. The
single mode emission is ensured by including an inter Bragg grating into the
laser chip. Available wavelength range from 773nm up to 2330nm. Power values are
available from 1mW up to more than 150mW.
Antireflection Coated Laser
Diodes For most applications of Laser Diodes in the field of measuring and
sensing, there is an improvement of the spectral properties needed. Technically,
this is realized by using external cavities. For a proper coupling of the
external cavity to the diode laser, an anti-reflection coating of the front
facet of the diode laser is required. Dr. Joachim Sacher was one of the first
scientists who recognized this potential. The first successful antireflection
coatings were realized as early as 1987 at Marburg
University. Available wavelength range from 375nm up to 1700nm.
Tapered Amplifier
Diodes Tapered Amplifier Diodes are used for amplifiying laser light
from typically 10mW .. 50mW up to power values of 500mW ... 1500mW. At one side
of the laser chip, tapered diode lasers are identical to conventional Fabry
Perot lasers. At the opposite side of the laser chip, they are broad area
lasers. Inside of the chip, the internal waveguide is tapered for getting a
propper matching between both side of the laser chip. Available wavelength
range from 730nm up to 1080nm.
