Description:
The Pilot PC is benchtop, highly precise, low noise,
microprocessor operated, controller for laser diodes. The laser current or
the optical output power and the temperature of the connected laser diode can be
precisely regulated. For automated control, a GPIB / IEEE 488.2, a RS232 and a
USB computer interface allows remote programming and readout from most
computers 
Security Features:
The Pilot PC incorporates proven laser protection
features, including exclusive clamping current limits, output shorting circuits
and slow-start turn-on. In addition, power-line transients are
suppressed by AC line filters
Low Noise Power Supply:
The power supply of the laser controller is designed with a
special shielded toroidal power transformer. No switch mode power stages in the
controller are one of the key points to provide a minimum noise level of
the laser current. The linear Pilot PC power stage is a development basing
on our previous design which is proven since more then 10 years in Sacher
Lasertechnik products.
